The overall vibration isolation and noise reduction scheme of the pump room

Pump Room Vibration Isolation Solutions

Vibration control in pump rooms mainly involves four key aspects: water pump vibration isolation, pipeline vibration isolation, wall vibration isolation, and floating floor vibration isolation. Each part requires a corresponding vibration reduction solution. Only by implementing effective vibration isolation measures at every stage can the overall vibration isolation efficiency of the pump room be significantly improved.

1. Water Pump Vibration Isolation

Currently, the most effective method for reducing water pump vibration is the installation of a pump damping pedestal combined with spring vibration isolators.

The damping pedestal increases the overall mass of the pump unit, thereby reducing vibration amplitude caused by operational disturbances. At the same time, it improves system stability and effectively isolates vibration transmission to the foundation. When used together with spring dampers, this solution significantly mitigates pump vibration and ensures smooth and stable operation.

2. Pipeline Vibration Isolation

Pipeline vibration isolation is a critical part of pump room vibration control, as vibration is often transmitted through rigid pipe connections and supports. Effective vibration isolation measures should be applied to both horizontal and vertical pipelines.

  • Inlet and Outlet Pipe Supports
The pipe supports at the inlet and outlet of the water pump should be equipped with spring vibration isolators to effectively reduce vibration transmission from the pump to the pipeline system.

  • Suspended Pipelines
Suspended pipelines should be fitted with spring hangers or rubber vibration isolators, which can absorb operational vibration and prevent structure-borne noise from spreading through the building.

  • Alternative Support Structure
Suspended pipelines may also adopt a door-frame support structure combined with spring vibration isolators, providing additional stability while maintaining excellent vibration isolation performance.

3. Wall Vibration Isolation

Wall vibration isolation is achieved by fixing wall-mounted vibration isolators to the wall, installing the support keel, filling the cavity with eco-friendly sound-absorbing cotton, and applying sound insulation panels. Final surface finishing completes the system.
This structure effectively reduces structure-borne vibration and noise transmission.

4. Floating Floor Vibration Isolation

A local floating vibration isolation floor is constructed beneath the equipment. Spring vibration isolators are installed between the equipment and the floating floor, forming a double-stage vibration isolation system.
This design prevents direct contact with the building structure and significantly improves vibration isolation efficiency.

Integrated Pump Room Vibration Isolation Solution

Pump rooms have multiple and complex vibration transmission paths, requiring a systematic vibration isolation solution.
